Empress Gallery (Catwalk 219)

The place itself looks like a small house on the outside but once you enter you'll be greeted with a myriad of cat themed objects. The cats were also really friendly especially Koomi(I hope I spelled it right). The owner was really accommodating and was even willing to take an instax photo of us for our souvenir. The drinks were nice and the food was delicious. The cats here know how to entertain the customers. Overall feeling relaxed after leaving the place. Truly a hidden gem in Taiwan. I hope I get to visit again.

A nice little cafe where you can relax with the many cats that casually roam around you. The cats look well taken care of and the food/drinks were delicious. The people who worked here were kind and the service was great! Come play with the cats! 很有特色的店，貓奴一定要來這裡

Wonderful relief from the hot weather. The cafe was charming and decked out with cat decorations. The cats were friendly and playful and the owner was so lovely! She treats the cats like her own children. You can really tell that she loves the cats and her business dearly. One of the highlights of my Taiwan trip!

I found this place amongst several other cat cafes on the same street but what got me most was that the cat painting on the wall next to the door was the exact cat sitting in the doorway. So, I rang and the lady let me in, seated me, and I order the “cat beer”. The owner actually delivered the beer (she painted the label) and took some time to tell me about the cats, her beautiful paintings that she did and had hanging on the walls, and about the town itself. She is such a lovely lady and SO TALENTED. I wish I could have bought a painting but I have no way of travelling with it. Anyway, Empress Gallery and cafe was the perfect place to relax with the gorgeous cats, and have a delicious drink. I only took off one star for the food because much of it was very expensive. I would have bought more if it were a bit more reasonably priced, but I couldn’t afford it. Still, my favourite cafe in the area… for sure!

Among all the coffee shops in Houtong , I find this cafe the most realaxing, Coffee is also good, and I like their pie, ambiance was relaxing and the cats are well behaved , Specially Koomi which was really sweet cute cat, will surely come back if only i live in taiwan huhu

This is a cute independent run cafe. The lady has many cats, and rescuing many more cats, some cats are recovering from illness, some are sleeping, and others are shy. You can see the cats, and interact with them, the lady will tell you which one is friend which one is fierce, for your own safety. Help save some cats, enjoy some tea, and be with them. Remember cats are not for your entertainment, so be respectful, not entitled!

Adorable cat cafe, owner is opening her home to some beautiful cats, and even more, caring for a few with medical needs. If you love cats, come support her efforts.
